We missed the big pitch, since we’d be back to our home country in the 23rd
of December.
Either
way, we had improved the plan of the things we wanted to approach and our goals:
·
A video/
animation
- showing
the app
- to
the supermarkets (managers)
- to
the costumers
- keep the animation that
explains the procedures of the application
·
new approach: supermarkets that exist in
train stations and other transportation stations
- (talk to supermarkets
like these in Portugal)
·
rethink
our persona
- someone that is getting
ready for a party and needs to buy and arrange stuff with some urgency
- someone that is going on
vacations to a cottage and needs to get the products from the supermarket
in an easier way
- someone that is in the
transportation (coming from work, from a trip, etc.) and while doing
nothing in the journey, picks the things from the app and then gets them,
in an easy way, from the nearest supermarket to the station.
About what should be said in the
pitch:
Aleksi was supposed
to talk personally with M-Market. He did a few more research on other supermarkets and got to the conclusion
that Kesko (the K-Market group) and S-Ryhmä already have their web shops
available.
https://fi.foodie.fm/#!/products :
that's the one from S-Ryhmä – only works in Helsinki at the moment; with this
you can pick up the bags or get a home delivery.
In the
pitch, the thing that should be emphasized was the fact that our service would
be different from the one that those companies offer. Our "motto"
concerns more about «urgency shopping», like:
1. When you need to buy something that
you'll use very soon (for example, if you have a party tonight!) - and that's
why our service doesn't involve taking the shopping bags at home because then they'd
have to wait a few days to receive things;
2. And that this service would be
(mostly) in supermarkets near transportation stations, so that people that come
from work/travelling/etc. and still need to go to the supermarket can pick up
the products in a faster and easier way, without wasting their time in long
queues.
(TIME: 30)
In the end, we didn't win the
pitch and the prize (2000€).
