Contacting Vesa, the facilitator

We started to focus on HurryBuy's idea and contacting Vesa for more help in doing the pitch. He helped a lot with the Quick Pitch assignment and explained that we shouldn't be so worried about giving a step longer than our leg. With this he meant that our idea is changing the whole service in the supermarket - it's not a simple mobile application that had to adapt to the supermarket, it has to change and modify its infrastructure

“Hi Vesa! I think I need your help with one of our ideas in the sanoma group. Can you help me? Basically, our idea is: An app that allows me to shop online at a supermarket (like an online Lidl!). With this I could be stuck in a traffic queue, or the cafeteria, the train or the subway and could take this time to make it more useful. I can make a list of products to buy and when I arrive the supermarket I would have the bags I purchased waiting for me. 

This app could even have a GPS service that could tell me what's the closest supermarket where I'm heading to.

My problem here is: is not too dangerous this idea because supermarkets need to change their work structure as well?”

VESA: 

“Hi Mariana!

Don't worry. Focus on the problem description more. Your project name sucks. Make it more snappy such as Hurrybuy or similar. Focus on people who are in a real hurry. Your service needs to work in a split second speed. Your design must be about making a purchase list and the actual purchase in no more than 10 seconds. And make sure you guarantee that. Don't worry about the implementation. We'll always find interested partners if people are eager to make purchases via your app. Remember, focus on speed and easy of use. Keep it simple and very fast."

Hurrybuy

Is developing a mobile-app that gives the user a chance to do shopping in the most easy and faster way. Hurrybuy helps busy people, who don't have time to go to the supermarket. 

Our user just needs to chose the products from the app, drive/walk until the nearest supermarket and pick-up the shopping-bags. 

Hurrybuy also has the ability to store your lists, reducing the purchase time in the next shopping.

This app will save time and give the chance to purchase in real time with no more than 10 seconds.

VESA:

“Great improvement! But you still need to make it shorter. Beware of the word 'also', to mean it sounds that a service has a dual purpose. Just tell the one thing that your service does and as final sentence make sure it does that one thing better than anyone else.
